Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the blended educational approach on the academic progress of second-grade elementary students in the Persian language course during the 2023-2024 academic year. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with the pre-test and post-test framework involving a control group. The statistical population comprised all second-grade students in the Varamin district. The sample included two classes, randomly selected as the experimental and control groups. The experimental group underwent blended learning for one academic year, while the control group received traditional instruction. Data collection tool included an academic progress test administered in both pre-test and post-test phases for both groups. The collected data analyzed using SPSS software, employing descriptive and inferential statistical test (Pearson correlation, independent t-test, and analysis of covariance). Results included a significant increase in the post-test scores of the experimental group compared to the control group. Furthermore, the independent t-test revealed a significant difference between the mean post-test scores of the two groups. The analysis of covariance, controlling for pre-test effects, confirmed the positive and significant impact of the blended educational approach on the academic progress of the experimental group students. The findings suggest that the blended educational approach can serve as an effective method for enhancing learning and academic achievement among second – grade elementary students in the Persian language. This approach, by integrating traditional and modern teaching methods, facilitates active and interactive learning for students and aides in strengthening the understanding of concepts.
