The Effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence Language Teaching with Conventional Methods on Learning Rate among Beginner Language Learners

Abstract

The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of teaching English using artificial intelligence using the common method on the learning rate among beginner language learners. This research was applied in terms of its purpose and quantitative in terms of data type and was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The study population was English language learners from a non-governmental language institute, and the statistical sample of this study was 46 people who were placed in the experimental group (23 people) and the control group (23 people) through convenient sampling. The experimental group used ChatGPT artificial intelligence during the training period. Data collection was based on the CEFR questionnaire. The analysis of the obtained information was performed through multivariate analysis of covariance. The research findings showed that teaching English using artificial intelligence using the common method was effective on the learning rate among beginner language learners; in other words, teaching English using artificial intelligence increased the scores of the four skills of beginner language learners.
