English language learning like learning of any other language requires to have cognitive, Meta - cognitive, motivational, and behavioral capabilities. The purpose of this study is to provide a casual model which shows the relationship among language learning motivation, all types of help seeking behavior (instrumental, executive), English language learning through the mobile phone, and performance in English language course. The statistical population of this study includes: all high school female students in Shahinshahr during 1391-1392 educational years. Further, by using cluster multi stage random sampling, 250 students were selected for this study. Data collected through questioners of achievement motivation for English language (Schmidet and Watabane, 2001), help seeking dimensions (Verhastel, 2008), and mobile phone usage type and level, (Amraee, Zamani, Abedini, and Mirzaee, 1390). Later, by using path analyses statistical method, the data was analyzed. Findings indicated that, educational mobile phone usage has a mediator role related to all kinds of help seeking behavior, and performance in English language course. It was also observed that, all types of help seeking behavior has a mediator role related to achievement motivation for English language learning, and mobile phone educational usage. Thus, it can be concluded that mobile phone educational usage has a Meta cognitive role and it is considered as one of the self-regulatory strategies for time management.

The time management is one of the skills needed for academic success of students. This is one of the components of self-regulated learning skills of students. This research was conducted to study the predictive role of various variables of Cooper’s model in prediction of homework time management skills. 400 female secondary school students were selected from districts of Tabriz Office of Education with multi-stage cluster random sampling method. Data were gathered through Teacher Feedback Scale, Reasons for Doing Homework Questionnaire, Arranging the Environment Scale, and Homework Time management Scale. Data was analyzed by multiple regression method in SPSS software. The results showed that arranging the environment, Teacher feedback, and Learning-oriented reasons were important predictive factors of homework time management skills of students. In addition, it was found that 26% of the variance of homework time management skills accounted by these variables. The findings can be used to guide school students.

The purpose of the study was to examine differences in reading performance when an Electronic format with a scrolling text mode on a LCD monitor and a traditional paper format were used to present reading. The method which is used is experimental method and the research population consists of students of PayameNoor University in FirouzAbad. This study consists of 94 individuals that have been chosen by Random Sampling method. They were randomized into two groups, where the first group read text in print, and the other group read the same texts as PDF on a computer screen. Main findings of analyzing by using T-test measurement showed that students who read texts in print scored significantly better on the reading comprehension test than students who read the texts digitally. In addition, in this study, no significant differences between matched computer and paper-based text in terms of the time taken to study, on the other hand Main findings of analyzing by using Enter regression measurement showed context factors significant effect on reading speed and no effect on reading comprehension. These findings have strong implications for educators, educational administrators, policymaking and test development.

This study aimed at investigating the performance of face-to-face and e-learning Master's students of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Payame Noor University, the biggest distance education institute and public university in Iran and the Middle East. To achieve this, the performance of 1254 MA (678 face-to-face and 576 e-learning) students in the final exams of five courses were compared. In another comparison, the final scores of male (n=158) and female (n=418) e-learning students were compared to find any significant differences in their performances. The results revealed no significant difference between the achievements of male and female students. Furthermore, the face-to-face and electronic students performed similarly in three courses and differed significantly in two other ones. That is, the former group outperformed the latter in two courses. The reasons might be due to some factors such as differences in the two modes of learning, the quality of hardware and software, and the number of students in e-learning courses which highlight the necessity of paying more attention to this mode of learning. Some theoretical and pedagogical implications emerged from the study.

The present article is a survey on the quality of using humanistic education components with focusing on elementary student’s school motivation achievement according to the teachers and principals of 2nd education district of Tehran. This is an applied research and is done as a field study research. The research community included two groups from 2nd district in Tehran in educational year 93-94: Principals & Teachers in public and private primary schools (boys and girls schools). The sample groups, chosen according to Cochran-Morgan table, consisted of 183 Principals (managers & assistants) and 295 teachers that were chosen through stratified random sampling. Studying the literature review in humanistic education field, the questionnaire prepared by the researcher was formed in four different components to gather data. Face and content validity of the research were determined with the help of university professors and its reliability was determined through Cronbach's Alpha (0.824). The gathered data was analyzed with SPSS software and non-Parametric Chi square Tests. The results show that the using of all four components is not satisfactory, therefore, regarding to the importance of humanistic education in comprehensive growth, it is suggested that certain courses with the same titles be hold by the Education Organization to promote the educational level of principals and teachers.
