The results of various studies have supported the critical role of the motivation construct in providing students with successful experiences in all areas of academic achievement. Therefore, this research conducted to study the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Mathematics Motivation Questionnaire in adolescents. In this descriptive survey research, 350 adolescents selected from the statistical population of first-secondary girls in the fourth educational district of Tehran using the available sampling method and responded to the Mathematics Motivation Questionnaire (Fiorilla et al., 2021), the revised version of the Stress Measure Scale (Royley, Roysch, Jarica, & Wagen, 2005) and Psychological Capital Questionnaire - Adolescent Version (Luthans, Auliou, Avi, & Norman, 2007). The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the MMQ had good factorial validity with a five-factor structure consisting of intrinsic value, self-regulation, self-efficacy, utility value and test anxiety. In addition, the results related to the correlation between the dimensions of students’ Mathematics Motivation with their cognitive appraisals of failure experiences in the context of responding to the demands of mathematics lessons, and the the psychological capital of learners in situations of academic achievement, supported the validity of the MMQ. In sum, these results, while emphasizing the theoretical soundness of the conceptual underlying of the Mathematics Motivation Questionnaire, on the one hand, by repeating the factor structure of this assessment tool, it supported the context-independent function of motivational constructs and on the other hand, the necessity of understanding the context of motivational constructs based on the specific demands of different subjects.

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) program on self-compassion in mothers of children with intellectual disabilities. Methods and Materials: The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test, post-test, and follow-up, including a control group. The statistical population consisted of all mothers aged 20 to 50 years with trainable intellectually disabled children who attended the educational and rehabilitation centers for children with intellectual disabilities in Shiraz in the second half of 2022. Thirty participants were selected based on inclusion criteria through purposive sampling and were randomly assigned to two groups of 15 (experimental and control groups). The ACT intervention was conducted for each mother in 10 sessions of 90 minutes, while the control group was placed on a waiting list. The research instrument included the Self-Compassion Scale. Data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of covariance (ANCOVA).Results: The results indicated a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the post-test and follow-up stages. The ACT intervention led to an increase in self-compassion levels in mothers of children with intellectual disabilities, and this therapeutic effect remained stable at the follow-up stage (P<0.05).Conclusion: Based on the findings of the present study, the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention can be effective in enhancing self-compassion among mothers of children with intellectual disabilities. It is recommended that therapists and counselors incorporate this therapy alongside other interventions to improve self-compassion in these mothers.

The quality of life of students in school is a multi-dimensional structure that various factors affect its increase. The aim of the current research was to develop a causal model of quality of life in school based on academic support and school climate with the mediating role of students' academic attitude. The statistical population of the research included all female students of the second year of primary school in Khorram Abad city. The statistical sample of the research was 435 people who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. Data were collected using quality of life in school questionnaires of Anderson and Burke (2000), academic support of Saunders (2005), school atmosphere of Lee (2017), academic attitude of McCutch (2003). Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the data. And in order to check the significance of indirect effects, Sobel's test was used. The results of the data analysis showed that the proposed research model has a good fit with the collected data. The findings also indicated that the direct paths of academic support and school atmosphere were significant on the quality of life at school for students. Also, their indirect paths with the mediation of academic attitude were also significant. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that in order to increase the quality of educational life, it is necessary to pay attention to the role of academic support, school atmosphere and academic attitude.

Studying experience is one of the situational sports that is related to the performance and academic progress of students. This research aims to use a structural model to predict achievement motivation based on the family communication patterns in students with academic anxiety with mediating variable of academic self handicapping. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive survey. The statistical population was the female students of the second grade of primary school, who were first measured with the help of the Godzilla 1991 academic sports questionnaire, and 230 anxious students were identified, and 145 of them were selected as a sample of anxious students according to Cochran's formula. The tools of this research were Hermans' progress questionnaire (1970) and family communication patterns from Fitzpatrick (2002) and self-helplessness questionnaire made by Jones and Rodolt (1982). For statistical calculations, SPS software was used for descriptive statistics and SmartPLS for inferential statistics. The findings of the research showed that the communication pattern of anxious students is significant in motivating their academic progress. Conformity orientation has an indirect effect and dialogue orientation has an indirect effect on academic motivation. Communication patterns also have an effect on academic disability itself. It can be concluded that the communication pattern of anxious students (conformity orientation, dialogue orientation) motivates the academic progress of female students with regard to the mediating role of academic disability

A B S T R A C TFlipbook is a multimedia learning product that creates an effective presentation by integrating text, audio, animation, graphics, and video resources. The aim of this research was to Study the effectiveness of Flipbook multimedia on learning biology concepts in science among 9th-grade female students in Qarchak. The method used in this study was a Quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group. For this purpose, 79 female students of 9th-grade in Qarchak were selected using convenience sampling. The experimental group received the education of chapter 12 of the science book using Flipbook multimedia and the control group by the traditional method. To analyze the inferential data, a one-way ANCOVA was used. The findings of this study revealed that there was a significant difference in learning biology between the experimental and control groups in the post-test (p<0.01), and the experimental group had better learning. Therefore, Flipbook can be used as an educational technology in teaching.

The present research was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of education based on multi-dimensional planning on students' enthusiasm and academic vitality. It was a semi-experimental research with control and experimental groups. The statistical population included 898 7th grade male students in Bandar Turkmen, 25 of whom were randomly assigned to the experimental group and 25 to the control group. The data collection tool included the standard questionnaire of Dehghanizadeh and Hossein Chari's academic vitality (2013), Fredericks's academic enthusiasm (2009) and the intervention tool for teaching multidimensional planning based on Elahi et al.'s model (2014) which includes 8 sessions of 90 minutes. The data obtained from the collected information was analyzed using covariance analysis in SPSS24 software. Covariance results showed that education based on multidimensional planning has a positive and significant effect on the components of academic vitality (feeling seen, useful, ability to face challenges) at P<0.01 level. Education based on multidimensional planning has a positive and significant effect on the components of academic enthusiasm (behavioral, emotional and cognitive) at the level of P<0.01.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of emotion regulation training on positive and negative emotions and the excitement of progress in students. The current research method was a pre-test and post-test experiment with a control group. The statistical population of this research was all first-year undergraduate students of the Persian Gulf University in the academic year 2008-2019. First, 400 people were selected by multi-stage random sampling method from different faculties, then questionnaires of positive and negative emotions and excitement of progress were distributed among the subjects, 120 people were not selected among them, of which 30 Volunteers were randomly assigned to two control (15 people) and experimental (15 people) groups. The experimental group received eight sessions of Gross' (2007) emotion regulation training intervention. All members of the experimental and control groups administered the Watson et al. (1998) Positive and Negative Emotion Questionnaire, the Garnfsky (2001) Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, and the Peckron et al.'s (2005) Mathematical Progress Emotion Questionnaire. Inferential method (covariance) was used to analyze the data. The results of covariance analysis showed that emotion regulation training has a significant effect on emotion regulation. It was also effective on positive and negative emotions and the excitement of progress. The results of this study showed that emotion regulation training through the training of adaptive strategies, has an important role in positive and negative emotions and excitement of students' progress.
